“This program has been absolutely life-changing for me, and I’m not sure if I can truly say enough about my time here, but I’ll try. In general: the facility is clean and inviting, the staff is extremely knowledgeable and kind, and the added nutrition program has been a huge help in how I view my food intake and make my nutritional choices. More specifically: the environment at One Sound Body reminds me more of a family then just a plain old “gym”.
This is one of the few places where I truly feel like myself, with ZERO judgment from those around me. The only feelings I’ve ever had here are support and security, even on my worst days when I’ve literally teared up in front of my trainer (and friend I like to think) Steve. This training studio is as personalized as it gets, and I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my fitness needs! Can’t wait to put more work and time in here to see where the journey goes.”

“Being a trainer in this industry makes it challenging to find self-motivation – we have so much to give that we leave very little left for ourselves. About 4 years ago, I took the leap to outsource and started training with Steve. I wasn’t the ideal client as I was constantly coming off of a new injury or was flat out exhausted – and it’s not easy to train those who are in the same field as you – BUT – Steve constantly listened to my every woe and need. He worked around my scheduling needs, my body’s needs, and honestly, my mental needs which are just as important – if not MORE, than the physical. He is educated, honest, gives back to the community, and his work ethic is authentic and straight hustle status.
Not only have I trusted him with my own wellbeing, but my elementary-aged son has trained with him, and my husband is still a current and loyal client. When embarking on a journey to a healthier you, there is really no one else I could recommend more than Steve, to be in your corner with you.

“Great personal trainers like Steve Wickes, are defined by five principle characteristics; namely; knowledge, dedication, enthusiasm, passion and innovation, all of which Steve amply possesses.
Over the past two years that I have been working closely with Steve as my fitness trainer, Steve has demonstrated his deep knowledge and understanding of the many aspects of the body and how best to maximize one’s efforts in achieving their goals and objectives. Steve’s dedication, enthusiasm and passion have provided the groundwork for us to develop a unique, personal fitness plan that is tailored to meet my specific needs, since I am in my eleventh year of Parkinson’s Disease.
Some of the cornerstones of my fitness goals include improving my balance and flexibility to help mitigate the negative symptoms of rigidity and lack of balance inherit in Parkinson’s patients. Specific stretching and yoga-style exercises are built into our program to help achieve these needs. Increasing my arm and leg strength is important to facilitate my ability to move more easily in bed and recliner chairs, as well as mitigating the painful effects of muscle spasms particularly in one’s legs. Another important goal is to enhance my stamina and endurance to assist in combating the inherent symptoms of fatigue and insomnia experienced by many Parkinson’s patients. Steve’s innovative abilities to integrate a new workout every month adds variety, scope and motivation to the fitness challenges inherent in our program.
Finally, Steve’s personal caring for his clients, coupled with his uncanny ability to sense when you need a sprinkle of inspiration and understanding are two more of his outstanding abilities. I wholeheartedly endorse Steve’s abilities and professionalism and strongly recommend him as an exceptional fitness trainer that would work closely with you in achieving your overall fitness goals and objectives.”
